Sage line 50 company data file

I never heard anything about reports not working though. What i had to do was move the sage data back to the server, and re-structure my setup to use DFS to host shares from the NAS and my other server. Is Sage line 50 V12 the version? This is what we run and i really only have limited experience with that. You could try also hosting a copy of the sage data locally to see if the report will run, then moving it to the server and then the NAS and seeing which one causes the problem.

Thanks for the reply, the NAS itself is a seagate blackarmour which is AD integrated and performance has been very good, as you say I am already using DFS to advertise the shares. Weird thing is all the other reports from Sage work fine, unfortunately this company doesn't have Sagecover BUT we were just bought by the group who owns them and we have a multi company unlimited user licence with Sage Line 50 so I need to find out if this covers the other company as well.

I had a call about half an hour ago and the lady had run the report and left it and when she came back to it the report had run and was displaying the required data, it took over an hour though. I have to wonder if it's coincidental to the move as she also mentioned she'd had the same thing happen in the past on the old server and all they did was restart the server their only DC my god and that fixed the problem.
